Dreamy Elopements – Grand Cayman

This was such an amazing design to bring to life. I loved the concept of combining the relaxed ambiance of the beach and the class and sophistication of an indoor venue.

It feels sometimes when we are creating events that it needs to be one way or another , but the beauty is that it doesn’t need to be that way at all.

The face of events has really changed over the years and it is not about black and white , ballroom or beach , structured or unstructured anymore.

Getting married with a destination wedding does not mean you need to have white sand, white chairs and blue bows.

Nowadays weddings and events are about individuality, personality and self design ( woo hoo).

It is about taking the things that speak to your soul on the day to day and sharing those pieces with the ones you love the most.

This shoot was about showing the many aspects of a couples personality in any environment they desire. About love and laughter and intimacy.

We were very lucky to have this shoot published on Wedding Chicks recently. We love Wedding Chicks and the beauty they share with us everyday. What an honor.

When the publish first came out I was slightly taken back by the title they chose. “Getting Married in Cayman doesn’t have to be a Grand affair”.
I thought it was such a misunderstanding of what this shoot was, then I realized that words are all in perspective and that what they meant was that you don’t have to have everyone you know with you. You don’t have to have ballroom full of crystals or florals from wall to wall, that you can embrace a wedding that is not grandiose but small and intimate and divine in its simplicity even in the GRAND Caymans.

For us at Direction every event is a Grand affair no matter how big or how small.

The purpose of this shoot was to display that even when small and intimate it can be AMAZING!

Our favorite part of this elopement shoot was that even though it was just the couple and the incredible photographer Jenna Leigh, that it was breathtaking and memorable beyond words.

The personal details and intimate environment displayed all the things we love about creating events. This was a moment to be shared between two people embracing all the things that they love to enjoy together in one of there favorite places, the beach of Grand Cayman.

Dreamy details that make our hearts flutter:

The elegance, the giggles, the intimate embraces and the way they look at each other.
The sheer romance, the breaking of bread (or shall we say cheese and donughts)…..the playful joy of just being with each out … #lesigh #relationshipgoals
