Family Activities

When coming to the island for a week of celebration and fun know that you can come as a group of adults or as a family. The island is very family friendly and has many activities and recreation available for all ages.

Restaurants and hotels are extremely family friendly and children are welcome everywhere.

All excursions and activities on the island provide a full family fun experience and no matter what the weather there is always something to do.

Some of our favorite family activities include:

1) Boat trips to Stingray City<
Feed the stingrays, snorkel the Sandbar or Coral Gardens and possibly visit Rum Point or Kaibo for a Cayman-style fish lunch.

2) The Submarine Tour
Explore the depths without getting wet on an Atlantic Submarine or in Aquaventure Tours glass bottom boat

3) Cayman National Museum
Exhibits and interactive displays including a simulated submarine and a children’s gallery

4) Mangrove Forest Tours
Fascinating and a great way to learn about Cayman’s delicate mangrove ecosystems. Suitable for all ages

5) Starfish Water Park
Located at the Ritz Carlton. Kids will love the water slides and fountains. Purchase a pass for a day of fun!

6) Mini Golf
Located next to Deckers Restaurant on Seven Mile Beach is an 18-hole mini-golf course

7) Cayman Motor Museum
See 80 classic automobiles Cayman Motor Museum. Also on display is a selection of motorcycles, power boats and historical exhibits.

8) Spend the day in Camana Bay
A great option with two fountains to play in, the observation tower to climb and a harbour and landscaped courtyards to explore. Head over to Books & Books on a Wednesday or Saturday for the children’s Story Time at 10.30am.
There are also outdoor movie nights throughout the year and a full movie theater available for those rainy tropical days.

9) Blue Iguana Safari
Meet Grand Cayman’s “Blue Dragons” behind the scenes at the breeding facility at the Botanic Park. During this tour your guide will introduce you to some of the programs star breeders and explain how the Blue Iguana Recovery Program was able to bring this endangered species back from the brink of extinction.

10) Cycling Tours
Children’s bikes and buggies are available and the trails are flat and mostly traffic free.

11) Explore the Island
Take a tour through the island or create your own. Lots of little local gems to discover across the whole island.

12) Locked Inn
Live escape rooms are an exciting physical altered-reality adventure game where players are locked in a themed room and can only escape by finding clues and solving puzzles within a certain time limit. Locked in has a selection of 4 different rooms to choose from. Perfect rainy day adventure.

Each hotel also has a large selection of child friendly programs and activities available as well as the beaches are safe and clean for days full of family fun and enjoyment.
